Jeanne (Jiyoung) Kim graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Laws in Taxation in 2018 where she received a scholarship from the Tax Executives Institute of Canada. As a graduate student, she served on the Graduate Law Students’ Society and volunteered with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and and Pro Bono Students Canada.
She also holds a Juris Doctor Degree from the United States. During her years at law school, she served as the President of the Korean American Law Students Association. Additionally, she volunteered at the Prison Law Clinic where she used her legal skills to assist persons with problems related to incarceration in state prison.
She is proficient in Korean and is actively involved with the Korean Canadian community. During her free time, she enjoys travelling, swimming, snowboarding, and trying out new food.
