Ms. Jahani is a trial lawyer, with expertise in the area of Family, child protection and criminal litigation. Ms. Jahani’s Family law experience encompasses all aspects of family law litigation, such as custody, access, property division, spousal and child maintenance. Her expertise in child protection litigation, deal with the return of the children to their parents in the most effective manner, following removals. She is a detailed-oriented counsel who is committed to obtaining the best possible outcome for her clients in every case.
As an experienced litigator, she strives to handle each case in the most efficient and swift manner, in order to achieve the optimum result in the most cost-effective way. She has dealt with cases in all levels of British Columbia Courts, from Provincial courts to the British Columbia Court of Appeal. Being bilingual and fluent in the French language, she can conduct cases with ease in the French language.
Prior to becoming a member of the British Columbia Law Society, Ms. Jahani was practicing in Toronto, Ontario in the area of litigation, with a specific focus on criminal law. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in the year 2000 and has obtained her LLB from the University of Windsor in 1998.
Ms. Jahani has continuously been a contributing member of the legal community by volunteering at various legal organizations such as the Canadian Bar Association, and also by mentoring law students. She has also been a volunteer at other charitable organizations such as the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. Her favorite hobbies include painting, outdoor activities, and the culinary arts. Ms. Jahani has been recently appointed to the British Columbia Provincial Court.
