Sasha joined Remedios & Co. after practicing at a boutique Vancouver business law firm. His practice areas of focus are corporate/commercial law, wills and estates, real estate and business transactions, and seciurities law. He also has a developing practice in mergers and acquisitions while linking investors with a variety of projects.
Ever since the age of nine, Sasha has developed a wealth of experience and has explored his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for business. For ten years, he helped grow his father’s restaurant to make it into a successful Trinidadian bistro in Kitsilano.
Sasha completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Simon Fraser University concentrating in finance, and then spent two years providing financial advice for families and small businesses. With the aspiration to practice business law, he entered law school at the University of Ottawa and thereafter articled at a boutique corporate real estate law firm serving large companies and real estate developers. He then practiced at a Vancouver boutique business law firm serving start-up companies and entrepreneurs. A tireless and well-rounded lawyer, Sasha is dedicated to providing his clients with high value and creative legal solutions for their business and personal life.
Sasha is a strong supporter of the business and greater community. Sasha volunteers his time as the events committee Chair with the Small Business Council of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, hosting educational seminars for small businesses and entrepreneurs. As an Ambassador for the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, Sasha welcomes new members and mentors them to get the most out of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade. On his spare time, Sasha lectures business start-up information sessions to entrepreneurs and new immigrants at a variety of meet-ups, and is a Director for the Immigrant Services Society of B.C. (ISSBC). Sasha is also a member with T.I.E, the Surrey Board of Trade, the Burnaby Board of Trade, and the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce. He is currently an instructor at Simon Fraser University teaching Business Law.
When he is not in the office, he can be found hiking, swimming, ballroom dancing, and playing competitive cricket. Sasha also ran for Member of Parliament in the Federal Election of 2015 with the Liberal Party of Canada for the riding New Westminster-Burnaby. Though he was unsuccessful and a close second place, he was able to capture 6 times more votes than any other past candidate for the Liberal Party in New Westminster-Burnaby. Sasha’s achievements was recognized and applauded by the party and the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.
