Associate Lawyer

Sasha Ramnarine is a Business Lawyer with Remedios and Company helping local and international entrepreneurs and small businesses establish successful businesses in British Columbia and Canada. His areas of practice include, Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Estate Planning. Sasha has worked since the age of nine and managed his family’s Trinidadian restaurant for a number of years in Kitsilano. He has worked in over 20 different roles throughout his career. Sasha completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Simon Fraser University with a concentration in finance while working close to 40 hours a week. With the aspiration to practice business law, he entered law school at the University of Ottawa and thereafter articled at a boutique corporate real estate law firm serving large companies and real estate developers. A tireless lawyer and entrepreneur, Sasha is dedicated to providing his clients with high value and creative legal solutions for their business and personal life.

Sasha is a strong supporter of the business and greater community. He is a Board of Director for the Immigrant Services Society of BC (“ISSofBC”); a Board Member with the New Westminster Police Board; and a Director for the Surrey Board of Trade (SBOT). With the Surrey Board of Trade, Sasha engages with members across the City of Surrey to understand and represent their needs with the SBOT. He also chairs the Tourism, Arts and Culture Team to specifically address the issues that arise and to promote Surrey as the destination for tourists and those who enjoy art, music, theatre, books, and much more.

Sasha supports the growth of businesses through supporting aspiring entrepreneurs. Sasha teaches various courses at Simon Fraser University and Kwantlen Polytechnic University including Business Law and Ethics, Commercial Law, Employment Law, Business Fundamentals, as well as Labour and Employment Relations. He also mentors entrepreneurs at Futurpreneur and business students in the Mentor in Business program at the Beedie School of Business. Sasha was awarded twice the Teaching Honour Roll award by the Beedie School of Business for the 2018-2019 year and for the second half of 2019.
