Matthew is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, Sauder School of Business where he obtained a Batchelor of Commerce (BCom) with Honours. After completing his undergraduate degree, Matthew pursued law school at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Law and obtained his Juris Doctor (JD).

As a someone of Macanese descent, Matthew plays a modern role in assisting the international clientele that Remedios & Company has built over 35 years in Asia. Matthew speaks English and Mandarin Chinese.

In addition to other areas, Matthew is an integral part of the Mergers and Acquisitions team at Remedios & Company. As part of the M&A team, Matthew has ventured to various parts of the world including Macao, Hengqin, Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Hong Kong to work on international business acquisitions, due diligence, and business development of the Asia and Indo Pacific. At our downtown office, Matthew also services the business needs of international and local businesses operating in Canada. In addition, Matthew is part of the commercial real estate team and the estate planning team at Remedios & Company.
